Chose to look at the glass half full

Today I started out counting down to the end of the month when I would have a day off for the first time in over a month.  Little did I know how the day would turn into a blessing.
Today was a hot and I mean hot day at the pool.  I may have even dug through the lost and found to find a pair of shorts and jumped in the pool multiple times today in my shirt and shorts.  As I was about to wrap up my shift our aquatics director asked if I would mind staying to help with a private party.  So I did and what a blessing it was.  b.a.c.a. Was hosting one of there many events for the families they sponsor, and after they finished eating and we were about to let them swim,  I was allowed to pray over the families.  This was a heart wrencher for me because I saw so many kids I knew from the school.
Before I left to head home I stopped to let them know I was leaving and that they can go to the lifeguards for anything they need.  The chapter president then said thank you.  I laughed and said I didn't do much.  He said it takes a lot of courage to stand in front of 100 plus people and do what you did.  He then again said thank you because we will take any opportunity we can for a child and there families to here and be prayed over.
I could honestly write for hours about how one hour changed my day.  Changed my life...  Instead I will end with this.  Don't be scared to step out of your comfort zone and follow what God lays on your heart.    Don't judge a book by its cover because you never know what is inside until you turn the pages.

Below is a picture just as the kids and families jumped in!
