A Journey of a lifetime
I have been holding off on this post because I wanted to be able to say
it all! The past weeks have been a true testament to how prayer works, how
God brings people into your life for a reason, season and so much more!
I started a few weeks ago working for (or with as Joe says because we work for the Lord) Joe Marler and Shirley Marler
and Legacy Trucking! A huge blessing that was only made possible by
meeting people during seasons of our life! Next I went to post op check
up for my knee and the Dr. Said for 35 he was more then impressed of where I
was and that I was not far behind the HS and college athletes! Then a week ago , the one goal I have been working so hard to get to! I flew
through the test for phase 2 with flying colors! I started a new
chapter with rehab and by mid September this girl will be stronger then
she was when she started!
After my last session with my trainer in phase 1, we had a conversation about how God brings people in our lives for a reason! She shared a little at how I had taught her things and how my journey had inspired her. Then the next morning Cindy Bobka Griessel pops in for a quick second to pray with me before this next huge step in my journey I have been on! I want to say it was JRA kids camp 2008 when we first met and how she has blessed me over the years with her friendship is priceless! Never miss a God moment and never be afraid to step out in faith! Thank you Cindy! I needed that more then you know!
I am one week in phase 2 and lets just say I never imagined how tough it would be. I have realized over the course of this journey that we take so many things for granted. Walking, running, and just being alive. We all have those moments we remember like yesterday. Looking back on day one of therapy (day after surgery) I never thought I would see the day where I could jump, skip run, kneel and the list goes on. The road has been tough both mentally and physically. I have learned patience and perseverance. I have learned that age is just a number and if you set your mind to it anything is possible. I have learned that obstacles don't break you they make you stronger!
Don't let failure become your identity! Let how you overcome become your identity!
My journey over the past year has been one full of ups and downs. I have faced failures, been defeated and knocked down time and time again.... But every failure, every obsticle has made me stronger.
Everyone comes in our lives for a reason and a season. When people cross our path don't be so quick to judge the circumstances. Instead step back and allow God to show you why your paths crossed. Embrace the moment. Embrace the journey. Embrace the path you are traveling! Embrace life! Everyday brace life to the fullest! Don't let the obstacles in front of you defeat your tomorrow!
